Your work stays yours
Last updated October 1, 2026
The short version
- Your photos, videos, text and projects stay on your device. They are never uploaded to us.
- We collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the app. You can turn this off at any time.
- We do not use advertising, sell your information or share it for advertising.
- There are no accounts, so we hold nothing that identifies you unless you email us.
Who we are
StitchSlide is a free web app for making seamless carousels, available at stitchslide.com. It is made and run by Joel Richard Escorpiso in California, USA ("we", "us"). If you have any question about this policy or your information, email hello@stitchslide.com.
Your photos, videos and projects
StitchSlide does all of its work inside your web browser. When you add photos, videos, fonts, logos or text, they are processed on your device and are not sent to us or to anyone else.
- Your projects are saved in your browser's own storage on your device. We cannot see them, and we cannot recover them for you.
- When you export, the finished files are saved to your device. When you use Send or Share, your device's share menu hands the files to the app you choose. That app's own privacy policy then applies.
- If you paste a link to an image, your browser downloads that image from the website it lives on. That website can see the request, as it would if you visited it.
Anonymous usage statistics
To learn which features are useful and what to fix, StitchSlide records anonymous usage statistics using PostHog, an analytics service. This is what is recorded:
- Pages viewed and how long a visit lasts.
- Named actions, such as "export started" or "slide added", along with simple settings like the number of slides or the export format.
- Technical details: browser, operating system, device type, screen size and the website that sent you.
- Approximate location, such as country or city, worked out from your IP address.
This is what is never recorded: your photos, videos, fonts, logos, text, project names or anything you type into a project. Screen recording is turned off, and StitchSlide does not record clicks or on-screen text automatically.
StitchSlide does not use cookies or save a tracking ID on your device for analytics. Each visit is counted on its own, so we cannot link your visits together or tell who you are.
Turning statistics off
Open the menu, choose About, and untick "Share anonymous usage statistics". StitchSlide also turns statistics off automatically if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
Statistics are stored by PostHog on servers in the United States for up to 12 months, and then deleted.
Hosting
StitchSlide is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify's servers receive your IP address and basic request details when your browser loads the site, and keep short-term logs for security and to keep the site running.
Fonts
StitchSlide's own fonts are served from our site. Inside the editor, if you choose a font from the Google Fonts list, your browser downloads that font from Google, which receives your IP address as part of the request. Fonts you upload yourself stay on your device.
Email and support
If you email us or use Report a problem, we receive your email address, your message and any details you choose to include. We use them only to reply and to fix problems, and we delete them on request.
Supporting StitchSlide on Ko-fi is optional. Ko-fi handles that payment, and its own privacy policy applies. We do not receive your payment details.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
- We do not run ads or advertising trackers.
- We do not create accounts or user profiles.
Legal basis (for visitors in the EU and UK)
We process anonymous usage statistics on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding and improving StitchSlide, with an easy way to opt out. We process emails you send us to answer them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including California, the EU and the UK, you may have the right to know what information we hold about you, to get a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its use. Because statistics are anonymous and not linked to you, we usually cannot find them to act on. For anything else, such as an email you sent us, write to hello@stitchslide.com and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
StitchSlide is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how StitchSlide handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
